BeeData
First-Party Audience Kit
Know your reader. Earn like you know them.
Buyers pay more for an audience they can recognise and less for anonymous traffic. BeeData turns what your readers already tell you — what they read, what they answered, what they came back for — into consented segments your auction can actually sell.

The problem
What this is costing you right now
Your audience is a number, not a description
You can tell a buyer how many pageviews you have.
A buyer who cannot recognise the reader bids low
Third-party cookies are going or gone.
The brief you cannot answer
A premium advertiser wants auto-intenders in the Hindi belt.
How it works
What BeeData actually does
No black box. Here is the whole mechanism, step by step.
BeeData — how it works
-
1
Readers tell you things — start recording them
Declared answers from BeeEngage polls and quizzes, topic follows, BeeMail sign-ins, and reading patterns across visits. All of it consent-first, none of it bought from anyone.
-
2
Processing stays inside your scope
Signals are processed on-device and at the edge. Raw behavioural data never leaves your publisher scope, and it is never combined with another publisher's.
-
3
Signals become segments you could describe out loud
"Cricket-engaged", "personal-finance readers", "auto intenders" — built from a rule-based builder, with suggestions drawn from your own taxonomy. Each one has a size, a definition and an expiry.
-
4
Segments go where the money is
Passed to BeeBid as targeting key-values and Prebid user data, packaged into BeeCurate deals for buyers who want exactly that audience, and used to target BeeMail sends.
-
5
The lift is measured, not asserted
BeeScope reports matched versus unmatched CPM with the methodology written down, plus coverage and decay per segment — so you can see whether a segment is actually worth anything before you sell it.
- Declared + behavioural consent-first, never bought
- Never pooled or sold your data stays yours
- Into the auction key-values and ortb2
- Lift measured methodology published
In context
Where BeeData sits on your page
कौन जीतेगा?
A poll mid-article is one of the signals — a reader telling you something a pageview never could.
Reading patterns, topic follows and newsletter sign-ins feed the same taxonomy. Nothing here requires a third-party tracker.
Specifications
Full technical specification
Publishers compare specifications, not adjectives. Everything is here, including what depends on partners we do not control.
Collection & consent
| Event taxonomy | Read depth, topic affinity, recency and frequency, declared answers from engagement widgets. A defined taxonomy rather than a raw event firehose, so segments mean the same thing six months later. |
|---|---|
| Consent |
Consent-first collection with per-purpose opt-outs and stored records, designed around India's DPDP Act expectations and GDPR mode where relevant. This is not legal advice — your obligations depend on your business.
|
| No third-party trackers | Nothing here loads a data broker's pixel or buys an audience segment. The entire input is your own readers' behaviour on your own site. |
| Data isolation |
Your data is never pooled with another publisher's, never sold, never shared. This is structural. If a data co-op is ever built it will be a separate product with explicit opt-in, not a quiet change to this one.
|
Segmentation
| Segment builder | Rule-based builder plus suggested segments derived from your own taxonomy. Each segment carries a TTL, because an "auto intender" from nine months ago has almost certainly bought the car. |
|---|---|
| Minimum size floor | Segments below a k-anonymity floor cannot be activated. Below that size a segment stops being an audience and starts being an individual, which is both a privacy problem and a worthless thing to sell. |
Activation & measurement
| Activation |
Google Ad Manager key-values, Prebid ortb2 user data, BeeMail list targeting, and BeeCurate deal packaging. Hashed-identity join with BeeMail where the reader consented to both.
|
|---|---|
| Measurement | Matched-versus-unmatched CPM lift with the methodology documented rather than asserted, plus fill coverage and decay curves per segment in BeeScope. |
Some capabilities depend on third-party approvals and platform policies that are not ours to promise. Where that is the case, the spec above says so explicitly.
Expected impact
What the industry reports
Every number below is an industry benchmark published by a third party. BeeOS has not shipped, so none of these are results we have produced.
Expected CPM lift on segmented impressions versus anonymous ones benchmark 1
On matched impressions only. Multiply by your coverage to get the site-wide number, and expect coverage to be small at first.
Without BeeOS

With BeeOS

- CPM on segmented inventory

Expected difference
+20–50% on matched benchmark 1
Note the second row: anonymous inventory does not get better. This lifts the share of impressions that carry a segment, which is why coverage matters more than the headline percentage.
+20–50%
Reported CPM on segmented inventory versus anonymous benchmark 1
On the matched impressions only — site-wide impact depends on coverage.
Match rate
The number that decides what this is actually worth to you
A 50% lift on 8% of impressions is a small site-wide number. Be honest with yourself about coverage.
Never
Times your data is pooled with another publisher's
Structural. A future co-op would be separate and opt-in.
Being straight with you: The headline range is the lift on matched impressions, and that is not the same as your site-wide uplift. If a fifth of your impressions carry a segment, you get the lift on a fifth of your impressions. Coverage takes months to build and depends on consent rates you do not fully control — which is why BeeScope reports match rate as a first-class metric rather than burying it.
